Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell if my home needs a new roof?
Severe weather, extreme temperatures and old age all contribute to the wear and tear of your roof. You can tell if your home needs a new roof or not by considering the age of the roof, it’s appearance, and whether or not there are leaks. Typical shingle roofs in Colorado last approximately 15-20 years on average. A leak could mean some shingles are damaged, the underlayment has failed, or flashing has deteriorated.
Whitney Roofing - All American Gutter Man can perform a free inspection of your roof and gutter system and make recommendations that will protect and enhance your home's value.
Do I need to be home during the roof or gutter installation job?
No, not at all. As professional roofing contractors, Whitney Roofing - All American Gutter Man will not need to enter your home at any time; therefore, you do not need to be home during the job.
Can my roof be damaged severely in a hail storm?
Your roof can certainly be severely damaged from Colorado hail storm by knocking the protective granules off of the roof shingles. This exposes the mat beneath your shingles to sunlight, which causes erosion of the shingles. Fortunately, hail damage to your roof is typically covered by your homeowners insurance policy. At Whitney Roofing - All American Gutter Man, we will always be willing to send a roofing inspector to your home to survey hail damage on your roof and/or gutters, free of charge.
